Guidance for data team:
Develop a building data plan for reading and math that has checkpoints throughout the year and a plan built in to come together and share data and its instructional implications.
Can we develop or find a consistent set of reading probes across grade levels? Research what is available (both district and outside of district). A quicker tool to assess whole grade level and measure growth pre and post, and a more in depth reading probe that is given to mid to lower students? Develop a plan that gives us information across the grade levels. Look at comparisons in the grade level AND nationally.
What about math assessments to measure growth? Possibly use the math rubric for math understanding and math proficiency, in combination with Pro Ohio in grades 3-6 and diagnostics in 1-2.
